An orrery presents the planets as viewed from outside the solar system in an accurate scale model of periods of revolution (though the planets’ sizes and distances are necessarily inaccurate). It is typically driven by a clockwork mechanism with a globe representing the Sun at the center and a planet at the end of each arm. Clockmaker George Graham is credited with creating the first orrery (aka a planetarium) that could demonstrate proportional motion of the planets around the Sun.

STANDARD SERVICE: All items ship from our Southampton, NY location within 1-2 business days. Orders with Standard service will be shipped via USPS First Class, USPS Priority Mail, UPS Ground, UPS Surepost, or FedEx Home Delivery.
EXPEDITED SERVICE: Please call us for a quote if you wish to have your items shipped using an expedited shipping service such as UPS Two Day or Next Day..

Items Lost or Damaged in Transit
Please contact us by email or calling in the event your shipment is lost or damaged. In the event of visible damage, please keep all packaging material. Stevenson’s will provide tracking numbers for all shipments and is not responsible for items not received that the tracking shows as having been delivered.
